REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - The Simulation Center at U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/[Army Strategic Command] Future Warfare Center awarded an 8(a) Competitive Set-Aside contract to Geeks and Nerds Corporation (GaN Corp.) on Sept. 25.
August 10, 2010 :: Today, Redstone Test Center (RTC) Advanced Technology Office (ATO) announced that GaN was chosen to provide engineering support for advanced test technology including technology investment strategic planning, experimentation support, and roadmap development.
GaN was selected as one of three finalists for the 2009 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau. Over 170 companies across North Alabama were nominated for the Torch Award. This is the second year in a row GaN has received this honor.
The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce announced Dr. Jonn Kim as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year for Huntsville/Madison County.
GaN was nominated for the 2008 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the category of Technology, and won the Finalist Award. The Torch Award is sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama to honor corporations that exhibit long-term trustworthiness and honorable business practices.
GaN was awarded a prime contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide interior design support for office and barracks furnishing for projects including the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) project for the Centrally Managed Furnishing Program.
GaN was nominated for the 2008 Huntsville / Madison County Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year Award. The award spotlights entrepreneurial corporations for their outstanding accomplishments as small business leaders.
GaN won an IDIQ award from NASA MSFC to provide technical services and programmatic support.
GaN Corporation moved to its new facility, the old historic Mr. C's Restaurant in South Huntsville, in September 2007 and held held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in December.
GaN Corporation received a major sensor development contract, High Fidelity Imaging System (HiFIS). It is a five year program to develop an advanced multi-spectral imaging system that incorporates an innovative algorithm to allow real-time tracking of key objects of interest.
