GaN was recently awarded a 3 year contract to provide support to PEO-STRI / PM-ITTS in the continued development of the Aviation System Test and Integration Laboratory (AvSTIL) installed system test facility. PEO STRI is building the AvSTIL for the RTC Aviation Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) to support future aviation test needs.
Our AvSTIL project manager is working closely with our customers to get this effort started off on the right foot. This is an exciting new opportunity for GaN. It will expand our company’s capability and allow us to help the Army put in place a much needed leading edge simulation facility that will benefit Army Aviation for years to come.
The AvSTIL provides a synthetic environment capable of immersing an instrumented aircraft and its systems in a controlled, repeatable and distributed virtual environment to enhance test capability; augment open-air testing; mitigate program risk, cost, and schedule; and provide a collaborative environment for system of systems testing.
GaN will provide systems engineering expertise to perform requirements analysis and develop the system architecture; hardware, and software development expertise to refine and expand the AvSTIL real-time infrastructure and off-line test and data management capabilities; and hardware, software, and multi-platform integration expertise to integrate components into the AvSTIL.
